Aimee and Felicia originally tied the knot back in 2020, but it wasn’t the kind of celebration they had always imagined. Like so many couples during Covid, they said their vows over Zoom—beautiful and meaningful, but missing the real-life hugs, tears, and cheers from their closest people. A few years later, they decided it was finally time to gather everyone they love and celebrate their marriage properly with a heartfelt vow renewal in one of their favorite places: Santa Barbara.
This day felt extra special to me because I’ve actually photographed three weddings for this amazing family—Sarah's, Claires and now Felicia’s. Being invited back into their lives again felt like coming home.
Portraits Around Santa Barbara Courthouse
Before their vow renewal ceremony began, I spent a little time with Aimee and Felicia around the property to capture relaxed portraits. The energy was light, joyful, and full of color—truly the perfect setup for a Santa Barbara celebration.

A Ceremony Officiated by Family
When it came time for the ceremony, the moment felt incredibly personal. One of my previous brides, Claire, stepped into the role of officiant, creating this beautiful full-circle moment for everyone involved. It was important to Aimee and Felicia that every single person there was photographed and included. This renewal wasn’t just about the two of them—it was about honoring the community that supported them through uncertain times.

A Parade to The Pickle Room in Santa Barbara
After the ceremony, the celebration took a fun and unexpected turn. A giant, colorful parade—complete with music, cheering, and so much love—led everyone through the streets of Santa Barbara all the way to The Pickle Room, where the reception was waiting.

A Unique Santa Barbara Reception
The Pickle Room was the perfect spot for their reception: lively, intimate, and full of personality. Guests enjoyed drinks, appetizers, and heartfelt toasts that honored Aimee and Felicia’s journey—their resilience, their joy, and their deep, steady love.
This wasn’t just a vow renewal. It was a long-overdue celebration of two people who deserved to be surrounded, supported, and celebrated by their favorite people. Aimee and Felicia’s Santa Barbara vow renewal was a reminder that love doesn’t have a timeline—and celebrations don’t expire.
