Some love stories are so special they feel like they were always meant to find their way back. For Janice and Paul, this Riverbench Winery Farmhouse wedding was the beautiful beginning of their second chance at love. Both had been married before, but after years apart, Paul came across an old photo of Janice tucked away in a shoebox. That single moment led him to find her on Facebook, and when they reconnected, they became inseparable.
A Spring Wedding in Orcutt
On an early spring afternoon filled with sunshine and warmth, Janice and Paul gathered with their closest family at Riverbench Winery Farmhouse. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with Janice’s old college portrait in the background — a sweet reminder of their story coming full circle. Walking down the aisle together, they symbolized the journey they had already traveled hand-in-hand.
After their vows and a few portraits, a bus transported friends to join the celebration. Guests were greeted with heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and an evening of music and dancing. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and a wonderful energy that carried throughout the night.
Memorable Moments
Their cake cutting was set to “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor, while their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis brought everyone together in celebration. Janice gave a toast with their family’s sparkling wine before opening the mic for heartfelt words from loved ones. Paul’s son shared a touching toast that left a lasting impression — a reminder that this day was not just about two people, but about blending families and honoring community.
A Wedding Celebration to Remember
As an Orcutt wedding photographer, these are the weddings I cherish most — ones filled with heart, meaning, and personal touches that make them truly unforgettable. Janice and Paul’s Riverbench Winery Farmhouse wedding was the perfect example of how love can grow stronger with time, creating a celebration that was joyful, intentional, and uniquely theirs.
✨ This is why I love wedding photography — telling stories that go beyond the day itself and celebrate the journey of love.
