I'm MacKenzie; I'm known for my big smile, endless creativity, and a million nick-names (Mac, Kenz, Kenzie...you pick!) I am a mother to two, and a wife to my Army veteran husband, Bryan.
I was born and raised in California in a small town, and post-military life moved to the Central Coast of California. We fell in love with the area and find it hard to imagine ever leaving. Our family loves a Sunday surf session, camping, geocaching, hiking, and a good sunset.
Photography has always been an interest and creative outlet for me. In 2019, I had the opportunity to work under an incredible photographer, Roger Smith, who graciously mentored me. I don't think it was a conscious decision; he just slowly shared what he knew and pushed me to grow. I will forever be grateful to him, and you'll likely meet him along the way too!
In 2020, I finally felt like my photography was beyond what my camera was capable of producing, and I invested in myself with new gear. Slowly my friends stood in front of my lens, and we captured life's journey of beauty, hope, and struggle. This brings me to today - in 2021, I decided to invest further in myself, my healing, and spend more time with my passion, photography.
I believe that when you look back on a photo, you remember what you felt at that moment. It is my goal to help facilitate an incredible experience. We all have a story worth telling, and I look forward to being part of how you tell yours.

“MacKenzie is an amazing photographer and a great listener. She listened to what type of photos I was looking for through my session by helping direct us with posing and broke the ice immediately. She made us feel comfortable. We loved working with MacKenzie at every stage of our lives; we booked our Maternity, Newborn, and Family Portraits with her.”
